Bulk Price Update for Items & Services

Bulk Price Update changes a price in your Items & Services list and pushes it out to the places it’s used, so you don’t have to edit each property and visit by hand. It’s included on Startup and higher plans, and is a $10/month add-on on Solo.

What it changes: your catalog price, property default prices, open visits dated today or later, recurring visits, and Quick Dispatch templates.

What it never changes: estimates and invoices, including ones already sent, plus completed visits. Update those yourself if you need to.

Update one item or service everywhere

1. Go to Resources > Items & Services.
2. Click the green up-arrow icon on the item’s row. You can also open the item and click Bulk Update.
3. Under What to update, check Price.
4. Enter the New Price as a dollar amount, or choose % to change it by a percentage.
5. Review the affected records: Property Defaults, Quick Dispatch Templates, Recurring Visits and Single Visits. Each property shows whether its price came from your catalog or was set by hand (custom). Use Select Catalog Only to leave custom prices alone, or Select All to include them.
6. Click Apply Update.

You can also check Description in step 3, with or instead of Price, to push a new description out to the same places.

Raise or lower all prices at once

1. Go to Resources > Items & Services and click Bulk Update.
2. Under Change Selected Prices By, enter the amount and choose % or $.
3. Under Also Update, choose where else the new prices go: Customer property prices (only prices set from the catalog; custom prices are left alone), Scheduled visits (open future visits that haven’t been manually edited), Recurring visits and Quick dispatch templates. Check Always use the item description so those properties and visits follow each item’s description from now on.
4. Select the items and services to change. Select All and Select None help.
5. Click Apply Price Update.

Frequently asked questions

Will this change invoices I already sent? No. Bulk Price Update never changes estimates or invoices.

What about a customer I gave a special price? Custom prices are only changed if you select them.

Can I undo it? No. Review the list before applying. To reverse a change, run another update.
