Level billing charges a customer the same amount on a regular schedule, for example $150 a month, while each invoice still lists the services you did at their property.
- Go to Finances > Level Billing and click + New Level Billing.
- Customer: select the customer and enter a Description or Reference #.
- Annual Value: choose how to set the yearly total: From Estimate uses a linked estimate’s total, Enter Amount lets you type the annual contract value, and From History uses what the customer paid over the last 12 months.
- Payment Schedule: enter the Number of Payments (usually 12) and choose the Frequency: Monthly, Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Yearly. Set the Start Date; LawnPro works out the end date for you. The summary shows the annual value ÷ payments = the amount per invoice. Turn on Automatically Create Invoices to have each invoice created on its scheduled date, and choose which day it’s created.
- Options: add an optional Discount or Tax. Close all assigned events before invoice creation closes this agreement’s visits before each invoice is made. Include completed services in invoice description lists the services done that period on the invoice; without it, the invoice shows only the Invoice Description, which is shown above the items on each invoice. Add any Internal Notes.
- Click Create Level Billing.
At the end of the agreement, you can compare what you billed with the work you actually did. To add more invoices to an agreement, see Extending a Contract/Level Billing Agreement.
