Automations Overview

Overview

We try to automate many parts of your business so you can follow up with clients more quickly, get notifications when certain things happen related to your business, and just free up more of your time. There are tons of ways to do this using LawnPro’s automations feature.

To get to automations, click Automations in your side menu. You’ll see the automations in your account, each with its own ON – OFF switch, its Trigger Condition, Run Time, Action, Sub Action and Review setting. Use the boxes at the top to filter the list, or click + New Automation to add your own.

The tabs on the Automations page

• Automations: your list of automations.
• Sequence Automations and Sequence History: a series of steps that run one after another, and a record of each run.
• Text Message Templates and Email Templates: the messages your automations send. See Edit Text Templates for Automations.
• Automation History: every automation that ran, whether it was sent and why if it failed. See Automation History.

The 3 main parts of an automation

1. Trigger Condition: what starts it
2. Run Time: when it runs
3. Action: what it does

A few examples of automations are:

• Sending an email or text message to a customer before you’re going to service their property.
• Sending an email or text message to a customer when you complete a service at their property.
• Send a reminder email or text that an invoice is past due.
• Send an email or text to the customer, you, or an employee when a visit is added to the schedule for a property.
• Send an email or text to you or any employee when an estimate is accepted by a customer.
• Send an email or text to tell the customer what to expect next once they accept an estimate.
• Ask customers for a Google review the day after each visit, as in the video above.

(Automations can run 1, 2 or 3 days before an event, instantly, or from 2 minutes to 30 days after. See Automation Trigger Conditions.)
